
| Summer Internship Program at NASA Centers NSBRI's Summer Internship Program provides the opportunity for undergraduate, graduate, veterinary or medical students from across the country to join ongoing project activities and gain hands-on experience in space biomedical research at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio, or Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, California. The 2013 Summer Internship Program begins May 28 and ends Aug. 2. Applicants must be available during these dates. Since 1998, 174 students representing more than 80 colleges and universities have participated in this 10-week program. The program pays interns a stipend of $6,600. Housing and travel, including local travel are the responsibility of the interns. The NSBRI Summer Internship Program places students Applicants must have completed their sophomore year of college by the start of the summer internship program. The program is only open to U.S. citizens. Applicants must be available during the program dates.in NASA laboratories working with scientists on research projects focused on protecting astronaut health during spaceflight. Eligibility How to Apply To be considered for this program, applicants must complete the online application which is accessible each year beginning Oct. 1. As part of the online process, applicants must upload a CV or resume and a letter of interest. Applicants are responsible for obtaining two letters of recommendation, which must be submitted through NSBRI's online system. Note: Once an online application is uploaded (including uploading the resume or CV and letter of interest), the applicant will receive a URL to the online recommendation system. This URL should be provided to the two individuals who are writing the letters of recommendation. The persons writing the letters of recommendation will be able to upload their letters here. The URL will only be available once an applicant fully submits an online application.
