About the NSBRI Industry Forum

NSBRI-supported technologies developed to support the austere environment of space exploration lend themselves well to remote patient monitoring, diagnosis and treatment, and can greatly advance and simplify care in the hospital, rural clinic, ambulance and battlefield.

The NSBRI Industry Forum, a consultative body of private industry representatives, is partly dedicated to facilitating the transition of technologies and solutions developed for the astronauts to terrestrial patient markets.

The Industry Forum strives to:

• Help commercialize existing funded technologies
• Increase participation of the private sector in responding to annual NSBRI funding announcements
• Engage in mutually beneficial technical dialogs with currently funded academic investigators
• Increase public awareness of the on-Earth benefits of space-related research.
