| The Sleep and Circadian Cycle What's Up With José? features a problem-based case study about the sleep and circadian cycle. In addition to learning about sleep and circadian rhythms, students will get a look at how the nervous system can produce an extraordinary range of mental activity and behavior regulation. Problem-based instruction uses real-world problems as the context for learning. These studies give students enough information to proceed with investigations, but require them to undertake further investigation to solve the problem at hand. In partnership with the Harvard Medical School Teacher Institute, Morehouse School of Medicine created this guide for fifth through 12th grade teachers and students. Download Guide (PDF) |
