| The Role of the Vestibular System This guide features a problem-based case study about neurovestibular function. Students will learn about the vestibular system, its role in maintaining a person's balance on Earth and orientation in space, and the disorders that affect the system. The guide also provides a general overview of the human body's nervous system. Problem-based instruction uses real-world problems as the context for learning. This study gives students enough information to proceed with investigations, but requires them to undertake further investigation to solve the problem at hand. In partnership with the Harvard Medical School Teacher Institute, Morehouse School of Medicine created this guide for fifth through 12th grade teachers and students. Download Guide |
