NNJ07ZSA001N: Ground-Based Studies in Space Radiation. This NASA
Research Announcement (NRA) jointly solicits ground-based proposals for
the Space Radiation Program Element (SRPE) and the National Space
Biomedical Research Institute (NSBRI), components of the Human Research
Program.
Proposals are solicited by the SRPE in the areas of Space Radiation
Biology utilizing beams of high energy heavy ions simulating space
radiation at the NASA Space Radiation Laboratory at Brookhaven National
Laboratory and Loma Linda University Medical Center Proton Treatment
Center.
Proposals are solicited by the NSBRI in the area of dosimetry systems.
Proposals solicited through this NRA will use a two-step proposal process.
Only proposers submitting Step-1 proposals determined to be relevant with
respect to the Research Emphases outlined in Section I.F. of the NRA will
be invited to submit full Step-2 proposals.
